The search for a new dean at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business is now underway; led by a diverse committee, including distinguished Professor Mark Huselid and Northeastern's Provost James Bean.

The search for a new dean at Northeastern University's D'Amore-McKim School of Business is now underway. A diverse committee, led by Distinguished Professor Mark Huselid, is guiding the process along with Northeastern's Provost James Bean.

According to the Dean's Search Leadership Statement, the school is looking for a dean that, "…will lead a dynamic and distinctive business school at one of the most innovative universities in the world."

The school also recently announced The Dunton Family Deanship made possible by Gary Dunton, DMSB'78, and his wife Lee Anne. It is the first endowed deanship at the university.

Northeastern University

Northeastern University announces a nationwide and international search to recruit a new Dean for the D'Amore‐McKim School of Business. The Dean is responsible for the strategic leadership of the School and is charged with its continuing success in meeting its mission.

A private University founded in 1898, Northeastern University has emerged as one of the most dynamic universities in the country over the past decade and has evolved into a U.S. News & World Report "Top‐40" National University. The University is a leader in worldwide experiential learning and interdisciplinary research focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and globalization. Northeastern enrolls over 30,000 students across 116 undergraduate majors and concentrations and 362 graduate programs, ranging from doctoral programs to graduate certificates, in nine schools and colleges. It also offers select advanced degrees at its regional campuses in Charlotte, Silicon Valley, Seattle, and Toronto, Canada.

The D'Amore‐McKim School of Business at Northeastern University employs approximately 175 faculty and enrolls nearly 6,000 students. The School's identity is forged from an integrated blend of strong academics and insightful experiential learning opportunities. Ideally located in the heart of Boston, the AACSB‐accredited school is located in one of the world's most active intellectual, cultural, and economic hubs.

Reporting directly to the Provost, the Dean of the D'Amore‐McKim School of Business provides academic, intellectual, and administrative leadership to the College. The next Dean will draw upon a deep understanding of business education, leadership and management to engage and work with key stakeholders in an ongoing effort to enhance an already thriving school and further enhance its status as a national leader. The next Dean will possess unquestioned integrity and exemplary interpersonal and communication skills. The University seeks a proven leader with an ability to inspire and work in a team context to leverage the School's strengths.
