A group of D’Amore-McKim business school students are hosting the fourth annual Collegiate Alternative Investment Summit this weekend, a conference presenting top-industry professionals, panels and networking sessions on alternative investments such as hedge funds, private equity and real assets.
The upcoming Collegiate Alternative Investment Summit (CAIS) is a student-led conference focused on alternative investment networking and knowledge sharing opportunities between industry leaders and young professionals.
This year’s summit will feature panel discussions and networking events with more than a dozen guest speakers including Ryan Cotton, managing director at Bain Capital, James Goodman, president of Gemini Investors and Gary Bergstrom, founder of Acadian Asset Management.
CAIS will be held this Friday and Saturday. The first panel-style Q&A session features four D’Amore-McKim alumni working in the alternative space. The second session will include a discussion series on a range of topics including real estate investing and venture capital equity.
“Alternative investments are becoming more and more popular within portfolios and have been making their way into the mainstream,” said CAIS Co-President Jake Fulton DMSB’16.
