Research & Teaching Interests

Professor Ng's primary research interests are in the area of capital markets, wealth management, investment strategies, and portfolio management. He has taught MBA and undergraduate courses in corporate finance, investment strategies and portfolio management.

Industry & Academic Experience

Steve Ng is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has 19 years of experience working in senior positions at Fidelity Investments (Director), Putnam Investments (Senior Vice President), and MFS Investment Management (Vice President). He was an investment consultant at these investment firms working closely with marketing/product managers, research analysts, portfolio managers, and institutional clients. Steve is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at the Graduate School of Management at Clark University. He has taught investments and corporate finance at the School of Management at Boston University and Boston College. Steve is an active member of The Boston Security Analysts Society (BSAS). He is a member of BSAS' Wealth Management Committee and teaches Investments and Corporate Finance at the Boston Security Analysts Society/Kaplan's CFA Review Program.

Services to the Profession

Steve is currently a Principal at Woodland Investment Consultant, an independent financial advisory firm providing investment management services to high net worth individuals and corporate retirement plans.
