Research & Teaching Interests
Greg Collier is a seasoned business development executive and who is now Professor of Practice at Northeastern University. A top-rated professor at Northeastern University, his focus is on corporate innovation, business model innovation, and corporate and entrepreneurial sales strategy. Collier is also Director of International Programs for the Northeastern University Center for Entrepreneurship Education (NUCEE). He leads Northeastern’s expanding ecosystem development efforts in India and China. In India, this includes developing a network of 15 engineering colleges as hub venture development centers in the state of Andhra Pradesh; in China, this involves a similar framework with the addition of regional venture investment centers.
Industry & Academic Experience
Collier has held management positions with Electronic Data Systems (now HP), Fidelity Investments, and General Motors. He launched and developed EDS’ manufacturing practice in the Asia Pacific for a decade, and he also managed services commercialization for Fidelity in the US. In these capacities, Collier has fielded countrywide computer systems in automotive, high tech manufacturing, and financial services in developing economies, including the establishment of data centers for governments and companies in India, China, Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam. Collier left the corporate arena to start several successful entrepreneurial ventures, and before coming to Northeastern was the Assistant Dean of Executive Programs and Lecturer in Strategy and Innovation at the Boston University Questrom School of Business.
