The Center for Workforce Analytics at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business was founded in 2015 to help advance the science and practice of applied workforce measurement and analytics. Through the creation of close partnerships between the academic and practitioner communities, our mission is to promote the use of evidenced-based workforce management. In support of these goals, the CFWA is focused on helping organizations identify, prioritize, implement, and assess workforce investment opportunities, rooted in the execution of firm strategy. Focusing on the talent issues unique to each business’ strategy will enable firms to develop the predictive analytics and workforce insight needed to create value for shareholders and better, more meaningful jobs for employees.
Our approach is evidence-based and proactive, and focused on the development and implementation of leading edge research and outreach programs in the field of workforce analytics. We do this through the advice and participation of our senior executive advisory board, conferences for academics and professionals, our working paper series focused on the creation of new and innovative research, credit and noncredit programs in strategic workforce planning and workforce analytics, and executive roundtables that bring together academics and professionals to focus on issues of shared concern.
