Speakers

Dr. Patricia Cotter, EMBA’93, Business Executive

Trish is a high technology leader and seasoned business executive who has led successful IPOs for Netezza in 2007 and for Visual Networks in 1998. She was a member of the executive team that integrated Netezza into IBM following the $1.8 billion acquisition in 2010 and appointed President during this process. Previously, she worked at Stratus Sun Microsystems, Computervision, and Honeywell in various engineering and management roles.

In 2011, Trish won a Stevie Award for Customer Service Executive of the Year and was named Emerging Executive of the Year by the Mass Technology Leadership Council in 2009. Trish also authors a blog on “Leadership and Innovation” at trishcotter.com. Trish has a Doctorate and MS in Education, University of Pennsylvania; an AMP, Harvard Business School; an Executive MBA, Northeastern; and a BA, Boston College.

Karla Rossetti Pippins, MBA’95, Founder & President, Riverside Wealth Management

Karla works exclusively with successful women and couples wishing to protect their money and preserve their lifestyle. She received the Women’s Choice Award for Financial Advisors for her dedications to helping women. Previously, Karla was a management consultant with Accenture‘s Strategic Services Practice in Chicago, working with senior executives of Fortune 500 companies including Procter & Gamble, Best Buy, Sara Lee, Colgate-Palmolive, Budget Rent-A-Car, and Entergy. During her graduate work, Karla apprenticed at the treasury department of RJR Nabisco in NYC.

Karla earned an MBA from Northeastern and graduated in the top 1 percent of her class. She received a BS from Babson College and graduated magna cum laude. Karla holds the FINRA Series 65 license, is a Registered Investment Advisor for MA and SC, and is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.

Rachel Taback, International Business, DMSB’14, MS’15, International Management

Rachel spent the Fall 2014 semester in Puebla, Mexico while working towards her MS in International Business. In August 2014, she graduated from a dual degree undergraduate program with a BS in International Business from Northeastern and Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain.

As a part of Northeastern’s international business program, Rachel completed a domestic co-op in the Center for Faculty Development and Diversity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and an international co-op at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid, working to coordinate large-scale conferences and events for companies. As a leader, she excels at working across cultural boundaries and leveraging diverse perspectives to create a well-rounded outcome. Shaped by her experiences in Spain and Mexico, Rachel looks to develop her international career in Latin American and on a global scale.

Dani Wojdyla, DMSB’14, Securities Analyst, Goldman Sachs

Dani is a Securities Analyst at Goldman Sachs and recently accepted a position at the securities lending desk at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. Dani was accepted in the International Summer Program in Finance at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2012. She completed co-ops at Goldman Sachs, London in securities lending, Piper Jaffray, LA, in public finance investment banking, and Bank of America, NYC in regulatory reporting. She was a marketing intern for VMTurbo and the marketing officer for IDEA: Northeastern's Venture Accelerator.

Dani graduated from Northeastern in 2014 with a BS in Business Administration, concentrations in Finance and Accounting. She served on Student Government Association as VP for Academic Affairs. Dani is also a member of Northeastern's Young Global Leaders.​
