It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. Our business school model – with its focus on experiential learning, entrepreneurship, international business, and a rich mix of foundational and translational research – is extremely well-suited to meet the evolving needs of today’s business student and our society at large.
D'Amore-McKim School of Business is committed to experiential learning. Our undergraduate students transition seamlessly from their classes to applied work environments in our world-renowned co-op program. Our graduate students benefit from experiential learning opportunities as well, such as the six-month corporate residency program in the Full-time MBA, global residencies in the Executive MBA, and projects in the MS in Innovation.
All students benefit from Northeastern University’s top-ranked entrepreneurship ecosystem. Our Center for Entrepreneurship Education, for example, offers classes and other educational programming to well over 1000 students each year and our student-led venture accelerator, IDEA, has over 170 active ventures.
The school is also committed to embedding a global mindset and orientation into all of our programs, research, and outreach activities. Our top-ranked international business program offers numerous opportunities for our students to study and complete co-ops abroad. In addition, we have leading research centers focused on emerging markets, global leadership, and global innovation management.
Our faculty are thought leaders in their academic fields and in business practice. Many edit top academic journals and lead professional organizations, while others serve on corporate boards and actively consult and teach at Fortune 500 companies through our executive education programs. We pride ourselves on conducting research and outreach activities that address the world’s most pressing issues, such as corporate governance in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis.
The faculty of D'Amore-McKim School of Business are also known for academic program innovation. We are one of the leading providers of online graduate business programs in the country and offer a rich suite of graduate degree and certificate programs, as well as interdisciplinary minors and concentration areas for our undergraduate programs. We are committed to helping our students define individualized programs of study that serve their interests best by leveraging the extraordinary collaborations we have with other Northeastern colleges and with our global corporate and university partners.
D'Amore-McKim faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners are committed to transforming business education to take full advantage of experiential, global and entrepreneurial learning opportunities. We welcome your feedback and invite you to join us in shaping the business school of the future.
