Scholarship Support

Merit Based
The School places a strong focus on academic achievement. Through the establishment of “merit based” scholarships, the School can challenge students to excel and reward performance based on that excellence. Named student scholarships can be established through an endowed or expendable gift.

Need-based Scholarships
Quality higher education is often beyond the financial means of many deserving students. Endowed and expendable scholarship assistance will allow the School to attract and retain the promising students, regardless of their financial needs. Need-based scholarships help students achieve the education they desire, an education they would not otherwise be able to afford.

Student Emergency Funds
Often students encounter circumstances, which can dramatically alter their financial situation. Support is being sought to establish an endowment fund for the primary purpose of providing student emergency grant funds to those students forced to withdrawal from school for financial reasons. Grants will be awarded at the discretion of the Dean of the D'Amore-McKim School of Business.

International Scholars Program
As the School moves toward a global view in its curricula, work and study abroad become increasingly important. This is particularly true for students in the School’s Bachelor of Science in International Business (BSIB). Support in this area, both for scholarships and for academic initiatives, will allow globally focused students to enhance their experience by living and working abroad.

Graduate Scholarships
Traditionally, the vast majority of scholarships have been awarded to undergraduate rather than graduate students. The demographics of the typical student entering graduate school have changed dramatically, thus increasing the need for scholarship dollars. The D'Amore-McKim School of Business is in need of scholarship award dollars that will assist financially deserving students entering graduate school. Graduate scholarships attract the very best applicants for graduate study, young men and women who will influence business, technology, and society itself as future leaders in education, research, and industry.

For me and others in my family, Northeastern provided the foundation of our professional success.  My husband and I are thrilled to 'pay it forward' with a scholarship for deserving D'Amore-McKim School of Business undergraduates.
