Student Clubs and Organizations

Student clubs and organizations provide students with a variety of opportunities to explore interests and develop leadership skills while creating new friendships and a D’Amore-McKim School of Business network of peers.

Business Volunteers

The Business Volunteers Club was founded in September of 2008 by a group of freshman students and faculty advisor. The idea was to instill a spirit of service in the future business leaders of America. Over the past 4 years, the volunteers have had the opportunity to meet amazing people and volunteer our time for a lot of great causes, including: Teach for America, Junior Achievement, Cradles to Crayons, Rosie's Place, Haley House, Community Servings and Relay for Life.

Entrepreneurs Club

The Entrepreneurs Club is a student run initiative that engages and inspires students to pursue their careers & life by doing what they love. We aim to bring together a diverse set of students who all share one thing; The desire to “Live their passion!” Whether you want to start a non-profit, be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, or open a small business, everyone is welcome to join in exploring the many paths towards becoming an entrepreneur!

The Northeastern University Emerging Markets Club (EMC), founded in April 2015, works closely with the Center for Emerging Markets to develop programs and interactive events that educate students about countries with developing economies. Through the hard work of its members, the Emerging Markets Club has been able to bring in illustrious speakers like Joan Dubinsky, the UN Director of Ethics, and Jack Perkowski, the CEO of Asimco Technologies, who invested over $400 million in China when the country first opened to foreign development. We are also the hosts of the the Northeastern Global Summit. The Northeastern Global Summit is a student led conference that aims to enable students to challenge the status quo and inspire other students into taking action to combat issues facing the world. Northeastern University Actuarial Club

The Northeastern University Actuarial Club (NUAC) serves as an actuarial network on campus. We host actuaries and hiring managers from various companies to hear about co-op and career opportunities, news and research in the industry, advice for students, and personal stories of success. Since Northeastern University does not offer an actuarial science major, we join together to help advocate for actuarial classes and to aid students in registering for related courses offered in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business and the College of Science. We provide actuarial exam support through textbook rentals, study hours, workshops taught by student actuaries of local companies, and directed studies.

Northeastern University Real Estate Club

Northeastern Real Estate Development, Investment, and Policy Club will build a community of students at Northeastern who are interested in learning more about real estate related topics, including but not limited to development, investment, and policy. It will do this through three primary avenues: educational events, such as a speaker series or a tour of a development site; networking opportunities with employers who have real-estate related opportunities; and interactive events where students can develop relationships and learn from each other. We will advocate for more formal real estate-focused academic programs and curriculum both by direct petition to faculty and through the demonstrated interest of our members. The topics NURE will cover will reflect the all-inclusive nature of the field and the wide-ranging disciplines of its members.
