"D’Amore-McKim has a much wider range of options for degree programs than the standard binary choice of either a Part-Time or Full-Time MBA."

Q: What skills are you building at DAmore-McKim that you will use in your future career?

A: I am learning about the numerous factors involved in launching and growing high-tech businesses, from venture planning to industrial design as well as financing and marketing. I am learning how to approach problems with a customer approach, create value using new, high-tech methods, and capture value through sound yet flexible business models.

Q: Why did you choose D'Amore-McKim?

A: I chose D’Amore-McKim because it offered me the unique flexibility to continue gaining work experience while providing me with a top-tier education in entrepreneurship, and allowing me to expand my professional network with renowned professors in the innovation space.

Q: What would you say to a prospective student considering D’Amore-McKim for their business degree?

A: I advise any prospective student to investigate all of D’Amore-McKim’s programs. D’Amore-McKim has a much wider range of options for degree programs than the standard binary choice of either a Part-Time or Full-Time MBA. While D’Amore-McKim also offers workload flexibility, the range of programs offered with particular specialties is perhaps the most impressive aspect of D’Amore-McKim.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A: Throughout the next decade I plan to leverage my industry experience and my education in entrepreneurship to become a co-founder and executive of a high-tech software enterprise. The MSTE program has shown me that this is a process of trial and error, and will likely require several intermediate steps, but with a constant desire for innovation, eager design thinking, and the courage to execute on new ideas, anything is possible.

Q: What additional insight do you have for the D’Amore-McKim community about the MSTE degree?

A: The biggest thing I have noticed about the MSTE program is that the workload varies significantly by semester, and even by course. Furthermore, because of the yearly nature of the program, I have found that even though I technically enrolled as a part-time student, I have every intention of keeping on my full-time pace, just so I am not waiting an additional year to complete the program.
