Q: What skills did you build in the MBA program that you feel will benefit your career?

A: My D'Amore-McKim MBA has equipped me with holistic business knowledge, from supply chain to marketing concepts. The MBA has empowered me with sharpened business acumen and has allowed me to think and solve problems in a more entrepreneurial way.

Q: Why did you choose the D'Amore-McKim MBA?

A: I chose Northeastern mainly because of the six-month corporate residency opportunity. Being an international student, six months of work experience in a U.S. company is priceless.

Q: What was the best thing about your corporate residency?

A: My corporate residency at TOTE Inc. was not only an intensive learning experience but also a fun six-month adventure. I spent three months in Seattle, Washington, two months in Jacksonville, Florida and one month in Princeton, New Jersey. The pinnacle of my corporate residency was the opportunity to ride the TOTE container ship from Tacoma, Washington to Anchorage, Alaska over a three-day period. I was able to witness first-hand the operations involved in deep-water shipping and logistics.

Q: What was the biggest take-away from earning your MBA at Northeastern? What can you do today that you couldn’t do before you started your MBA?

A: There is a plethora of different skills—from statistics, to market research, to accounting skills. The biggest and most profound take-away is the ability to solve a problem and the confidence and empowerment to know that I can.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A: In 5-10 years I hope to own my own company that is aligned with one of my passions and also encompasses a social entrepreneurial dimension.
