MBA'11, Finance Concentration
"Favorite thing to do in Boston: Running along the Charles River."
Q: What do you do in your current job? What are your responsibilities?
A: Primarily, at my current job I coordinate quarterly measurement requirements for revenue and signings and develop and implement financial plans to compare against.
Q: What skills did you build in the D'Amore-McKim MBA that you are applying at your current job?
A: The 'soft' skills learned have proven very useful in my return to the work environment. With stronger technical writing (memos, e-mails, etc.) skills and enhanced networking ability, among other things, I am much more equipped for the demands of the evolving business world.
Q: Why did you choose the D'Amore-McKim MBA?
A: I chose the D'Amore-McKim MBA for the small class size and strong partnerships with leading companies (through the corporate residency).
Q: What was the best thing about your corporate residency?
A: Having received an offer from my corporate residency location, I would say the best thing was gaining an understanding of IBM. Equipped with that knowledge, I was able to very quickly adapt upon returning in a full-time capacity.
Q: What was the biggest take-away from earning your MBA at Northeastern?
A: The leadership aspect. I have had great success in applying the concepts from the MBA program into the real world business environment at IBM.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?
A: I'd like to continue progressing in the Finance field, and see myself firmly settled into a management role. Given my progression thus far, I am confident that I can continue to make strong contributions on my career path while continuing to develop those same concepts learned during my MBA program.
