*Optional travel elective, such as Global Field Study or Washington D.C. Residency.
**Corporate residency shown here as six months, but residencies can be three-,six-, or up to 12 months.

You'll choose two concentrations to specialize your path based on your goals. Select from our in-demand business-focused concentrations, or opt to earn one business concentration and one MBA x interdisciplinary concentration from a partner college at Northeastern.

Complete core courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing, data analysis, and entrepreneurship in your first term—building a strong foundation and creating room to tailor your education early. Electives make up about half the MBA, giving you the flexibility to explore modern business challenges and interests beyond business. With six required interdisciplinary (non-business) credits and access to courses across Northeastern's six graduate colleges, you'll work with your advisor to design a truly customized path aligned with your goals.

Optional travel-based courses

Stand out further with experiential electives aligned with your career goals. These may include travel—such as a week-long residency in Washington, D.C., to explore how public policy shapes global economies, or international options like the Global Field Study or Global Consulting Project, where you'll immerse yourself in another country's business practices.

Spend three, six, or up to 12 months in a full-time, MBA-level position at a leading company or startup in your chosen field. Gain the skills, confidence, and network you need to pursue your professional ambitions with speed and success, and distinguish yourself in the eyes of future employers. Few business schools include an internship of this depth or intensity.

3-month residencyAccelerate your degree if you're experienced in your field and aren't changing careers.
6-month residencyGet the full residency experience and forge deep connections in your chosen field.
Up to 12-month residencyComplete long-term initiatives with your host firm or complete two six-month residencies at different firms will build unique skill sets and networks.
