The Intersection of Government with Business
This three-credit course, a week-long MBA residency in Washington, D.C., showcases the intersection of government with business. You will have the opportunity to meet with members of Congress, current and former Executive Branch officials, senior civil servants, business executives, lobbyists, representatives of the media, and special interest groups to learn first-hand how public policy affects various aspects of individual companies, specific industries, as well as the U.S. and global economies.
Along with meeting Washington insiders, the program also includes site visits to relevant Federal buildings and agencies, such as Capitol Hill, the Federal Reserve, the Department of Treasury, and the National Press Club. When Congress is in session, the program also provides access to Congressional hearings so that you have the opportunity to see the U.S. government in action. The program provides numerous networking opportunities while also giving students a chance to see what it is like to live and work in Washington D.C.
