Stackability

Earn ‘stackable’ credentials A graduate certificate from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business allows you to take some of the same courses as a master’s student. Think of each course as a building block—when you’ve assembled four or five, you’ve earned a credential that’s meaningful in its own right, and you’ll be awarded a certificate. But you’ve also made significant progress toward a degree. Then, later, when you have all the pieces together to go for your degree at Northeastern—if that’s what you decide to do—your certificate may be applied toward an eligible master’s degree at Northeastern, including the Part-Time MBA. As Kate Klepper, Associate Dean of Graduate Certificate Programs, explains, “Our certificates allow you to get what you need today at the moment that you need it; and then, as you need more, take on more.”
